With its pristine watersheds, abundant wildlife and immense wildlands, the Bridger-Teton National Forest comprises a large part of the Greater Yellowstone Ecosystem - the largest intact ecosystem in the lower 48 United States.
The Bridger-Teton National Forest is divided into six ranger districts.   Two Scenic Byways, Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway and Big Spring Scenic Backway,   crosses those districts:
(1) Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway through the Big Piney Ranger District.
(2) Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway through the Buffalo Ranger District.
(3) Greys River Ranger District.
(4) Wyoming Centennial Scenic Byway through the Jackson Ranger District.
