In 2007, Natural Bridges became the first International Dark-Sky Park recognized by the International Dark-Sky Association. This designation recognizes also that the park has made every effort to conserve the natural dark as a resource worthy of protection.

Consider the Sipapu Bridge Trail. With a challenging 152 m (500 feet) descent this trail leads you through stairs, bald rocks and wooden ladders to a beautiful natural picnic spot right under the the second largest natural bridge in the world.
