Here you can have a dramatic view on the great rock avalanche of Turtle Mountain. On April 29th, 1903, more than 80 million tonnes of rock fell from its summit burying the south side of the community of Frank and the valley to depths of thirty metres or more. In about 90 seconds at least 90 people were killed. This event is also known as Canada's deadliest rockslide.
