Fort Battleford was established by the North West Mounted Police in 1876 and closed in 1924. At the time it was built, Battleford was capital of Canada's newly acquired North West Territories.
The Fort offers five original buildings, four with period furniture.
On the site you can experience some special activities, such as a ghost walk, or a program where you can become one of the settlers, or enjoy the interpretive display of the barracks on the site.
